So. I have this design class at OC that turned into an art class. This was quite the surprise for someone that has never really sat down and drawn anything before! You can probably imagine my surprise when I walked into class the first day, quite innocently expecting lectures and the use of a text book and all of that, only to be told that we would be drawing a skull as our first project. My surprise turned into alarm as I realized that I would be drawing this skull entirely on my own and that the professor spends most of the class time in meetings and conferences. Interestingly enough, 6 hours of drawing spread over three days will do a lot for someone. I learned so much about shading on this project! I was delighted when the sketch actually turned out to look like a skull, and I even had to do it in ink! That was scary. Now before you really look at it, you must make it really big and then go stand at the other end of the room. The shading looks much better at a distance. Also I hope you haven't looked at Leah's blog recently...
And just so you know I did center every thing on my paper, the picture just doesn't show it.

Yes, Molly ate my phone. She stole it and just chewed away. While she was in the process of destroying my wonderful little cell phone/camera/ alarm clock/ calculator/ phone book etc. , she at least had the courtesy to call someone and let them know what was going on! Oh well, on the bright side it still lights up... can I consider that a bright side?

I just ate a sandwich with crunchy peanut butter, cheese and extra lettuce on it. It was delicious.

This is Molly Morgan, our new dog. In this picture we are endeavoring to get down an entire pig ear in under five minuets. Well, I'm not, but she certainly was. Also, she is not about to bite my finger off but is merely chewing with her way-back molars on one especially crunchy piece. I was left to hold all the less interesting soggy ones.

Guess what? I'm not dead. I haven't fallen off the face off the earth, broken my arm, or had my dog eat my homework, been really busy or anything. I just have had a real aversion to computers recently. Actually I have never really liked them, I like to write things down and doodle on the margins and cross things out and draw arrows and make all sorts of ridiculous symbols until my paper is one glorious mess that needs a small deciphering manual to be decoded. Or a Rosetta stone, you pick.
I was just told that the computer is needed. Bye.
Oh! before you leave, Frisbee has started up again! Monday nights at 4:30.

After about four years of waiting! My socks are done! Now I do know that the acquisition of new socks is not an event that you would normally announce to the world, but these are not ordinary socks. These are hand-crafted-with-love socks made by my dearest mama. Thank you Mama!

I have decided that I really like driving. Really, really like it. Whenever I have something to think about, or decide, or even talk out, (yes I do talk to the air quite frequently) I like to do it while driving. Does anyone else like to drive?Or am I just weird? (yes that is a comment inducing question!) I think that 45-50 is the best possible speed and that really-hard-rain-driving is the most fun, or maybe driving in the dark, or even hailing hard or fog driving! Hmmmm, too many to pick a definite favorite! And also, I hate driving on the highway, I much prefer a backroad drive.

I just want to let you know that I have e-mailed hopefuly everyone with dates for sock hockey, I'm so sorry it has taken so long to get it started, I plan on making it up with lots of dates to come play in the future...

well, I must be going.
